This is sure to put a damper on Aaron's party.
Former child star Aaron Carter was slapped with a lawsuit from a former employee who claims the singer refused to pay him after he designed and maintained his website, TMZ reports.
In the suit, John Cantu reportedly claims he agreed to develop a webpage for the "Aaron's Party" artist with the full expectation he'd be remunerated for his efforts.
But when he requested payment last month, Carter allegedly scoffed and deemed him an unpaid intern. Cantu, however, says he didn't learn anything from the pop star, making the title of intern unjustified.
Carter's agent did not immediately respond to the Daily News' request for comment, but the singer appeared to subtly defend himself with a pointed tweet Sunday morning.
"There is a sufficiency in the world for man's need but not for man's greed," he tweeted. "I rest my case."
Carter, 28, rose to fame in the late '90s behind hits like "Aaron's Party" and "How I Beat Shaq" but hasn’t released an album since 2002.
