Demi Lovato feels 'free' after Wilmer Valderrama break up

Newly single Demi Lovato is not showing any signs of a broken heart attack.

Instead, the songstress is gushing about new growth, happiness and feeling "free"—a month after her surprising break up with longtime beau Wilmer Valderrama.

"I feel really amazing. I feel really great and I'm growing, "she said while on the "Elvis Duran and The Morning Show" on Wednesday.

"My life is just really, really exciting for me because I'm growing. It's new and fresh, and I feel free," the "Confident" singer continued.
The comments of liberation come a week after Valderrama, 36, told E! News he was "very good" and having an "explosive and fun summer."

While neither mentioned the other, Lovato explained things that no longer cause happiness are best left behind.

"You only get one life, so if you don't do what makes you happy in this moment, you're doing yourself an injustice for the rest of your life," she told the radio show.

The pair announced last month their residence in Splitsville after six on-off years. Both stressed they would remain "best friends."
