Drive-by shooter opens fire at NYPD cops in Brooklyn

A drive-by shooter fired two gunshots at a pair of NYPD officers on foot patrol in Brooklyn late Tuesday, missing both — and unleashing a dragnet, police sources said.

The shooter fired twice from a black Nissan four-door sedan at about 10:40 p.m., near Flatbush and Ditmas Aves. in Flatbush, cop sources said.

The car then drove off. Both cops were uninjured, sources said.

Several NYPD units rushed to the scene, including members of the Emergency Service Unit, to search for the shooter.

The NYPD also requested the MTA shut down the city’s bridges while cops searched for the car, officials said. Though the bridges remained open, officers at the city’s bridges are keeping an eye out for the Nissan, MTA officials said.

The shooting comes just two days after a cop-hating maniac executed three police officers in Baton Rouge Sunday, as perverse revenge for the police shootings of Alton Sterling, also in Baton Rouge, and Philando Castile in Falcon Heights, Minn.
