Emmy Awards 2016 nominations announced


The nominations for the 2016 Emmy Awards were announced Thursday morning and the HBO fantasy series once again led the drama pack with 23.

Aside from the automatic Best Drama Series nomination, actors Kit Harington, Peter Dinklage, Lena Headey, Maisie Williams and Emilia Clarke scored supporting nods.

HBO also scored with its comedy hit, "Veep," which dominated its rivals with a whopping 17 nominations.
