Maybe he would've been better off bearasailing.
A video posted to Facebook over the weekend that has since gone on to receive over 300,000 views proves that everyone enjoys a day out on the water, man or beast. While visiting Hemlock Lake, located 25 miles south of Rochester, N.Y., Matthew Garrity noticed an odd, dark object moving across the water at a steady pace.
"I was with two friends who decided to stay on shore," he told Mashable. "I was the curious one who absolutely needed to know what I was looking at moving across the lake so quickly."
Hopping into his Trump-hued boat, Garrity paddled out to investigate. "I heard that loud breathing sound even before I knew what I was looking at," he said.
And what he was looking at was a giant black bear, its breath puffing away as its paws cut through the minor Finger Lake.
Setting his paddle aside, Garrity took out his camera and filmed the colossal aquafile in action, though failing to catch a pivotal, potentially alarming moment.
"The bear definitely noticed me. At one point, not captured on video because I was paddling at the time rather than holding my phone, he did turn his head and look directly at me for a split second," said the courageous kayaker, "but he never stopped swimming towards the shore."
