Man nearly dies after slipping off mountain slide and over cliff

A slippery situation nearly led a Dallas man to his death when he lost his grip and flew off the edge of a mountain water slide.

David Salmon was careening through the slide’s curves when he slid up too far and over the edge — falling 10 to 15 feet onto rocky terrain below.

“Too dang old to be going down water slides,” Salmon captioned a video of the fall. “Fell off this one that is over a rocky cliff.”

Salmon’s slip resulted in a broken arm, fractured ribs, and lacerations all over his body. The Texas man was transported to Round Rock hospital.

A video captured of the fall taken shared on Salmon’s Facebook page has already amassed over 1 million views on Facebook.
The injured man didn't lose his sense of humor — adding the hashtags, “#waterslide, #fail, #failvideo, #brokenarm #notdead.”
