Country star Trace Adkins is forking over a large check after reportedly falling off the wagon and drunkenly performing at a recent charity concert.
The "You're Gonna Miss This" crooner — who has been open about his battle with alcohol addiction — is donating his performance fee after appearing intoxicated and slurring his words while recently singing at Seaside Heights, New Jersey, TMZreported Friday.
A video obtained by TMZ showed Adkins slumped over a chair and mumbling. The Ashbury Park Press reported the struggling musician left the show early.
"Apparently we have one of our country music family who needs our love, support and understanding," radio station Rockin' Country Thunder 106, who organized the night, wrote on Facebook a day after the Wednesday show.
