Jimmy Carter to vote for Clinton but calls her, Trump 'unpopular'

Jimmy Carter might have gotten his death date wrong but he sure knows who to vote for this November.

After dodging political questions and telling reporters he thought he would be dead within
weeks this time last year, the cancer-surviving Carter said voting for Hillary Clinton is a no-brainer.

"It's been an exciting and unprecedented kind of campaign this year, and unfortunately, the way it's turned out, both choices in the major parties are quite unpopular," Carter said at the site of a Habitat for Humanity construction project in Memphis. "But I don't have any doubt that one of the candidates is better qualified than the other."
The 91-year-old former president revealed in Aug. 2015 that he had been diagnosed with melanoma metastasizing in his brain. On Monday, he told reporters he thought he would have been dead by now.

Carter, a worldwide ambassador for Habitat for Humanity, said he doesn't like to propagate particular political issues since he works with Republicans, Democrats and people of many religious beliefs in his role with the home building charity.

"(But) everybody knows that I'm a Democrat, and I'll be voting Democratic," he clarified.
