A driver backed her car clear on top of the hood of a $300,000 Ferrari in a baffling parallel parking blunder in Virginia Sunday.
The woman and the owner of the red 458 Speciale exchanged information, according to the Fairfax County police. The rear bumper of her Mercedes convertible somehow wound up on top of the sports car outside a Great Falls coffee shop hosting a weekly meeting of Washington D.C.-area car lovers.
A video on YouTube showed a dozens of people snapping photos as the Ferrari’s alarm blared. A man who appeared to be the owner of the Ferrari could hardly believe what had happened.
“Are you serious?” he asked. “Are you f-----g serious? That’s about the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen.”
“Oh my God, I am shaking,” the woman replied.
Police said no charges will result from her failed parking job.
The Ferrari 458, which features a blue and white racing stripe down the middle, can reach speeds over 200 m.p.h. The car cost more than $290,000.
"No one was hurt," a bystander could be heard saying in the video. "The car can be fixed."
