The closer we get to September, the more iPhone 7 leaks we get.
Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 7 the week of Sept. 12, according to well-respected tipster Evan Blass.
"iPhone 2016 release: week of September 12th," Blass said in a tweet.
Blass' date does not come as a surprise since Apple has released the past two iPhones in September 2014 and 2015. Blass also has a record of accurately leaking product designs and release dates (both Android and iOS).
Apple has yet to announce an official date for either its launch event or iPhone 7 retail release. Apple hasn't even announced an iPhone 7. However, headphone manufacturers and other third-party companies have already started to leak the smartphone designs and specs.
A new video titled "iPhone 7 Plus (or iPhone 7 Pro)" published this weekend shows how the latest version of the phone won't have an audio jack — which proves right the months-long rumor.
The new iPhone will also have redesigned antenna lines and a larger dual-camera lens that's supposed to set it apart from previous models. Aside from those three modifications, the iPhone 7 looks very similar to the 6.
Another rumor circulating tech blogs is that the next iPhone model will not actually be called the iPhone 7. Instead, it'll be called the iPhone 6SE. A report from Apfelpage claims that Chinese supply chain sources have seen labeling and packaging an "iPhone 6SE."
If all these leaks are accurate, then Apple will most likely send press invites mid-August. We'll have to wait until then to see what new smartphone people will be lining up to buy the day it comes out.
