Add Ezekiel Elliott to the pile of NFL players who have found themselves linked to domestic violence charges.
On Friday morning, Elliott, the Dallas Cowboys' prized rookie running back and a player who most expected to be an instant NFL star, awoke to allegations from a woman who's known to be his girlfriend, Tiffany Thompson, that he had spent months abusing her.
In a pair of posts to her Instagram account, Thompson showed bruises on her arms, legs and neck. The first caption detailed what Thompson claimed she had endured.
"Just for every women out there getting abused it's time to put a stop to it," Thompson wrote. "This has been happening to me for months and it finally got out of control to where I was picked up and thrown across the room by my arms. Thrown into walls. Being choked to where I have to gasp for breath. Bruised everywhere, mentally and physically abused."
The second caption tagged Elliott's Instagram account. She made her account private after multiple media outlets picked up the story.
