An Ohio teen who went missing while volunteering at a Wyoming national park has been found, officials said.
Fauna Jackson, a 16-year-old from Cincinnati, was found safe Saturday, two days after vanishing inside Grand Teton National Park.
The teen traveled to the park to spend part of her summer working with Groundwork USA, a youth volunteer conservation corps. She was one of three Cincinnati youths chosen to participate in the nine-day program to reroute a trail in the Triangle X Ranch area of the national park.
Jackson’s co-workers last saw her Thursday morning before she took a break while working on the trail.
Search teams used dogs and helicopters to look for her. On Friday, they found one of her hiking boots.
Officials did not immediately release any further details about the rescue.
This is a developing story. Please check back for updates.
