The "Days of Our Lives" star revealed she was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia early last month
and is currently receiving treatment for the disease in a message on her website Thursday.

"My prognosis is good, I will not likely need a stem cell/bone marrow transplant, and we expect a complete cure," she assured fans. "I consider this just a bump in the road."

The actress, 55, said she's spent six of the past nine weeks in the hospital following her diagnosis. She added that she has three more months of treatment remaining and continues to receive support from her loved ones.

"I have amazing prayer warriors, family, and friends that have been extremely supportive and life affirming throughout this," she wrote.

In addition to her role of Eve Donavon on "Days of Our Lives," DePaiva has starred as Blair Cramer on "One Life to Live" singer 1993.

The actress, who is married to fellow "One Life to Live" star James DePaiva, said her "strong faith" has helped keep her strong during her fight against the disease.
"Although I'm unable to be "camera ready" now... my goal is get back to stirring up trouble in Salem soon," she wrote, referring to the town on the show. "Keep me in (your) thoughts and prayers."
